WHAT IS « INSULATOR LOCKING PIN TESTING MACHINE »?
This locking device testing machine supplied by Contune Intl company is designed to test locking device(retaining pin) on insulators.
WHY SHOULD WE USE « INSULATOR LOCKING PIN TESTING MACHINE »? HOW DOES IT PERFORM THE « LOCKING PIN SPLITTING TEST »?
In many overseas projects, disc insulators of ceramic material or toughened glass together with their metal fittings shall comply with the requirements of IEC 60383, whilst the ball and socket couplings, retaining pins and locking devices shall comply with IEC 60120 and IEC 60372.
The locking devices shall be formed such that when they are only extreme deformation of the retaining pin or locking device will allow separation of the insulator units or fittings or cause any risk of retaining pins or locking devices being accidentally displaces. The design shall allow easy removal or replacement of the insulator units or fittings. When in position the retaining pins or locking devices shall be independent of the degree of opening applied to the retaining pin or locking device after insertion.
To meet the requirements of testing in factory acceptance or on site inspection , contune intl specificlly designed this testing machine.
Its testing force ranges form 1-1000N, with a outstanding accuracy as high as 0.8%. The operational stroke is 220mm with testing space of 400mm,which we may see in the photo that two pieces of disc insulators can be put in and tested at the same time.
There is a horizontal force coming from aside to pull the cotton pin (R shape or W shape as commonly seen) to test the force limit to pull it out. The machine is mannually controlled so that any action of strength performed on is possible, small strength, withstand for a while, or increase the strength till the locking pin is pulled out. The entire procedure of the test can be fexibly managed and peak value can be recorded.
The outter dimension of this testing machine is 1000mm×820mm×1400mm, which is about 1.1 CBM, will not occupy much room and very convenient to move and place.
